Capulin Volcano Bear

A wildlife photographer I certainly am not...but if I see a wild bear and I have my camera...
Capulin Volcano, an extinct volcano in NM that last erupted about 60,000 years ago, was among our stops on the way up to Colorado Springs. Our timing was perfect because we got to see this young bear who lives in the area.

He was down inside the crater looking for food when he suddenly started heading for the trail that led to the only exit...which I was not that close to. Before he got too close he turned and headed back down into the crater.
This was my first ever wild bear sighting, so I was pretty excited to get a few decent shots plus about 40 seconds of video.
I switched to video just as he got up on the path. The video is a little shaky...perhaps I was deciding whether or not to run! In all seriousness, if I thought for a second I was in any danger I would'nt stay around too long.
I was using my 70-200mm 2.8. In the video you can get a sense of how far away I really was. Still, it's a bear!
