What I found on some old film

I discovered my wife still had her old Olympus 35mm point & shoot film camera after I found the instruction manual for it. I remembered she owned this camera when I met her and I had used it a few times YEARS ago. It was purchased new in 1988.
The first thing I noticed was a roll of film still in it with 4 exposures left on a roll of 24. The battery was dead, so I replaced it and then finished off the roll shooting randomly in the backyard.
I took the film to my local 1-Hour Photo place (Walgreens) and as expected, they were poor quality photos. I'd have to assume it was due to the film being so old, but I didn't mind because I was assuming nothing important would be on the film. You can see lots of lines going across the photos and some discoloration. That's not a bad scan, that's what they really looked like after the film was processed.
The pictures ended up being shots taken about 9 years ago when the kids were much younger and we still lived in NC. By the composition of the shots, I'm pretty sure the kids took most of these themselves. There were also some well thought out gems like this...
and this...

...so it's not surprising that many had a look similar to this..

This looks like it was taken by a 3 year old and most likely was (maybe her very first photograph?).
I haven't figured out exactly what I'm going to do with this camera...probably nothing. It basically has no manual controls except for turning the flash on or off (and a self timer). It's not worth much if anything. One recently went unsold on EBay with an opening bid of $5.00.
